Our business continues to experience significant growth, and we are seeking a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Canberra team as it grows and expands in the local market. If you have a strong understanding of various industry sectors, particularly in Education, Retirement Living and Commercial (fit-out, new build and refurbishment), this is your chance to make a meaningful impact. Duties include;
- Take responsibility for pre and post contract cost planning services, including final accounts.
- Lead the commission effectively within approved contracts
- Add value to clients process such as inputs into value engineering.
- Conduct Tender analysis and produce tender reports.
- Conduct cost checks, and undertake Variations assessments.
- Create and understand benchmarking.
- Client facing at all stages of projects, particularly pre-contract.
- Ability to proactively run a project from start to completion.
- Directly support the Principal of Cost Management - ACT
- 5-10 years' post graduate experience.
- Sound construction knowledge
- MRICS or CQS chartered status or working towards.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office suite as well as CostX or similar.
- Work rights in Australia, Preferably Australian Citizen (Ability to obtain security clearances)
- Possess strong communication skills and can consistently offer an excellent standard of customer care.
- Willingness to develop, learn and progress within your career.

- Proactively contribute to the team.
- Range of project and trade experience
- Clear understanding of Cost Planning stages and principals
- Ability to accurately manage team resources as well as client expectations
- Ability to accurately quantify and cost construction elements.
- Ability to prepare and present detailed and professional reports
- Post contract financial monitoring experience.
