ESG Lead | UK&I

Michael is TSA Riley’s ESG Lead for the UK&I, driving sustainability and environmental leadership across the region. With over 25 years of expertise in carbon management, energy efficiency, and Net Zero strategy, he brings deep technical knowledge and practical experience to help organisations transition toward a low-carbon future.

Michael works closely with the other regional ESG leads to co-ordinate and strengthen TSA Riley’s global ESG strategy and service offering. He plays a key role in shaping our approach to sustainability and governance, ensuring alignment across regions. He is passionate about enabling clients to embed sustainability into strategic decision-making, respond to regulatory change, and unlock long-term value.

His experience spans infrastructure, real estate, public sector, retail, and financial services. He has supported clients in developing sustainability strategies, carbon management plans, climate resilience assessments, nature and biodiversity approaches, and social value frameworks, translating these into evidence-based business cases that support investment decisions. Michael has led multi-million-pound programmes, advised on major infrastructure and regeneration projects, and supported organisations in aligning operations and portfolios to Net Zero pathways.

Michael has also worked internationally, including advising the United Nations on post-disaster sustainable reconstruction, bringing a global perspective to climate risk, resilience, and sustainable development.
