Tariq is a Principal at TSA Riley and is the national rail sector lead across Australia. With over 17 years of experience in the rail industry, he specialises in rail systems, rail operations, and network integration, bringing a well-rounded perspective to complex technical, program, and interface challenges. His career spans long term client-side leadership advisory roles on major projects such the Victorian Level Crossing Removal Project, Melbourne Metro Tunnel, Victorian Suburban Rail Loop, and the Auckland City Rail Link.

Tariq’s expertise is underpinned by strong foundations in systems engineering, system safety, and rail safety accreditation. His ability to navigate both technical and operational domains has earned him a strong industry reputation for delivering integrated, high-performance rail solutions. He holds a Master of Software and Systems Engineering from the University of Melbourne and continues to shape the future of rail through strategic leadership and innovation.
