ProjectAuranga Land Development, Auckland
Auranga is an 85-hectare residential neighbourhood development in Drury, South Auckland. This project comprises of 1,350 dwellings including stand-alone homes, duplexes, terraces and apartments. The development features 17 hectares of landscaped public and reserve land, 6km of cycle ways and 5kms of walkways and is anticipated to establish a blueprint for future developments. The client, Karaka Drury Consultants Ltd. led by Charles Ma of Made Group, is a group of private investors who aspire to build a place where streets are full of life, life-long friends are made, and there is a network of community support.
The project comprised of major road upgrades; 1.5km of bulk transmission; 1.4km of new bulk water infrastructure; wastewater infrastructure including three pump stations and connection to the existing Hingaia pump station; new local road network and infrastructure reticulation; design and construction of a terraced block for use as a sales hub; master planning and realising the ambition of Auranga – people loving where they live.
TSA Riley’s scope of services for this engagement included management of design, consents, procurement, stakeholder, third party and authority commercial agreements, contractors, contracts reporting to the investor group and assisting with funding strategies.
Auranga is a purpose-built community where people’s everyday needs are met within an easy walk from home with an abundance of parks and open green spaces. The long-term plan includes a town centre, public transport, community civic centre, retirement village, along with a commercial and retail precinct.
