John Hunter Hospital and John Hunter Children’s Hospital provides critical infrastructure to Greater Newcastle, Hunter, New England and northern NSW regions. The John Hunter Health Campus has been recommended for redevelopment since 2013. As part of the NSW Budget 2019/20, $780 million funding was committed for the John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct (JHHIP).
