Auckland Prison Water Separation and Reservoir

Correctional facilities rely on safe, reliable water infrastructure to support day-to-day operations and people’s wellbeing. Given the scale and operational demands of these facilities, resilient water networks also benefit surrounding communities.

As part of the Department of Corrections Ara Poutama Aotearoa’s Water Infrastructure Programme, TSA Riley is supporting upgrades at Auckland Prison, including the separation of the prison’s water supply from the local network. This involves delivery of independent water infrastructure for nearby schools and community users, with all external assets to be handed over to Watercare upon completion. A second phase of the project will involve the replacement of an ageing concrete reservoir.

Our team is providing project management, Engineer to Contract, and Engineer’s Representative services for the project. By bringing contractors, consultants, Watercare, and stakeholders together early, TSA Riley is helping identify delivery risks, strengthen methodology planning, and maintain alignment across the project.
