New Zealand International Convention Centre
SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited

Art and architecture converge to create a space for conversation, performance and connection, all while reflecting Aotearoa's culture and identity.
The New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) is a new performance and events destination located in the heart of Tāmaki Makauru Auckland. Created collaboratively by Warren and Mahoney, Moller Architects, and Woods Bagot, the design draws deeply on Aotearoa’s landscapes and cultural narratives. Large-scale artworks by Peata Larkin, Sarah Hughes, Lyonel Grant, and Shane Cotton further anchor the venue within its local context.
A decade long development, covering 32,500sqm, with 8,100sqm of highly configurable exhibition space, 2,700sqm of configurable conference and meeting spaces, alongside a 2,850-seat theatre that can be configured into 2 smaller venues, NZICC accommodates up to 4,500 guests. Together, these features position NZICC to attract conferences, performances, and business events while supporting the local hospitality and tourism sectors.
TSA Riley worked collaboratively with the client, consultants and contractors, provided development management and project management services, as well as FF&E procurement and logistics support. Our role involved coordinating complex stakeholder requirements and guiding the project through each stage of delivery, helping to realise the transformative power of this globally competitive venue. The result is a world-class centre designed to welcome diverse audiences, host big conversations, and energise the heart of the city for decades to come.
